Day job meets new job!

Hello there!

Well, I’m just about there! Everything on my list is checked off and I’ll be officially legal to sell to the public on Thursday! Oooh I am nervous and excited all at the same time (but mostly nervous!)

I’m starting as I mean to go on (hopefully!) by baking 60 pirate cupcakes on Friday!! I will post some pictures of those next week.

As I’ll be busy getting ready for those later in the week, I thought I’d make some biscuits for the people in my office this weekend to mark the occasion a little bit. They always tell me they are more than happy to be my taste testers anyway! Here they are:

Nope I’m not late for Halloween, I work in radiation safety! We monitor x-ray department staff to make sure they don’t receive to much radiation dose and we also check x-ray equipment to make sure it’s safe to use, so I thought I’d use this as my theme!

I love how the x-rayed little men have come out! These were just a gingerbread man cutter flooded with black icing. When that was dry I piped in the white ‘bones’ but had to fill in the eyes and nose with black as my white icing was a wee bit too runny!

I also forgot that the trefoil had a black dot in the middle so they stand out a bit…oops! (I must see this sign about five times a day, every day! Never mind!)Β

And as with anything sweet in the office, they were well received πŸ˜‰
